113 Jane Street, das ist mitten im Village, mit Blick auf den Hudson River. Wenn man viel Glück hatte, ergatterte der Hotelgast gar ein Zimmer mit Blick auf die “Statue of Liberty”!

Leider wurde diese Perle der Gastfreundschaft mittlerweile geschlossen. Es war das mit Abstand günstigste Hotel in ganz Manhattan. Beliebt auch unter Obdachlosen, die sich mal eine Auszeit vom harten Leben auf der Straße gönnen wollten. 1998 konnte man dort tatsächlich für 17 Dollar übernachten. Pro Etage gab es nur ein Waschraum, für Männer und Frauen! Es war einfach wunderbar. Die Hausordnung habe ich noch im Internet gefunden. Ich finde sie sehr aussagekräftig, besonders den Paragraphen über Kochen und Tierhaltung! Tatsächlich wurde überall im Haus gekocht. Mit kleinen Gasherden wurden Dosen aufgewärmt, Toaster benutzt und ein besonders mutiger Mensch hatte ein kleines Barbecue am offenen Fenster gehalten. Wie gesagt, es ist ein großer Verlust für meine Lieblingsstadt!

Your receipts issued from the Reception Clerk for payments are very important.

Please check them for accuracy once you make payment as they are your only proof of payment.

Check-in time starts at 12:00 Noon.

Check-out time is 12:00 Noon Sharp, No Exceptions!

Should you wish to extend your stay, please make payments before 12:00 noon.

Late checkouts are penalized $5.00, and all belongings are removed from the room.

Since there is no baggage storage available, we discard all baggage immediately.

No refund given for early check-out.

All our guests must be 18 or older.

Our Double rooms comes with one double bed;

if needed a second bed will be added during 8 to 4 shift only.

You are required to identify yourself when entering the Hotel.

This is for your personal protection.

Our security policy prohibits visitors upstairs. This is strictly enforced by Hotel Staff and Management.

Guests are permitted once registered by the room occupant and presented with proper ID of guest.

A $15.00 room charge prevails.

Guests delinquent in payments are not allowed visitors.

Pets & Cooking are Strictly Prohibited.

Security is available round the clock. Our Desk Staff are here to assist you at all times.

Rooms are rented for sleeping only. Please keep noise to a minimum.

Vandalism, disturbing the peace, or rooms being used for unlawful purposes will not be tolerated.

We are not responsible for valuables left in the room.

Open doors are against the NYC Fire, Health and Building Regulations. Your door must be closed

at all times.

Linen is exchanged clean for dirty every Wednesday from 9:00AM to 8:00PM.

The reception desk in the main lobby will look after your needs.

Please report maintenance requests at the Reception Desk Only.

Most problem are handled within 24 hours or sooner.
